Clear terms for a transparent moving experience.
These Terms & Conditions explain how our services work, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you when you book a move with Gati Packers And Movers.
Please read them carefully before confirming a booking. Using our website or services means you agree to these terms.
Simple, fair, and clear
Our terms are designed to protect both you and us, while keeping your relocation experience smooth and predictable.[web:85]
Transparent pricing
Quotes are based on the information you share; major changes are re-estimated.
Shared responsibility
We handle operational care; you help with accurate information and access.
Safety & compliance
Certain goods are restricted by law and cannot be moved.[web:85]
Reasonable limits
Our liability is limited as per these terms and applicable law.
1. Definitions & scope
- “Company”: Gati Packers And Movers, including its authorized representatives.[web:85]
- “Customer”: any individual or entity that requests a quote, confirms a booking, or uses our relocation services.[web:85]
- “Goods”: items handed to us for packing, handling, transportation, or storage, excluding prohibited items.
- “Services”: packing, loading, transport, unloading, unpacking, and related moving services detailed in your quotation.
2. Quotations & bookings
- Quotes are prepared based on the information provided by you— inventory, locations, access floors, and requested dates.[web:85]
- Significant changes (extra items, different floors, long-carry, or additional stops) may require revision of charges.
- Quotations are typically valid for a limited period (for example, 15 days) and may be affected by changes in fuel, tolls, or taxes.
- A booking is confirmed only after your explicit approval and, where applicable, payment of an advance amount.
3. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about your inventory, access at both locations, and any special handling needs.
- Ensure there is suitable access for the vehicle and team, including building permissions, lift usage, and entry approvals where needed.[web:85]
- Clearly label and inform us about fragile, high-value, or unusually heavy items so they can be handled appropriately.
- Organize all necessary approvals from societies, offices, or local authorities where required.
4. Restricted & excluded items
For safety and legal reasons, certain categories of items cannot be accepted unless specifically agreed in writing:
- Cash, jewellery, precious metals, or important documents.[web:85]
- Perishable goods, living beings, or items requiring special care.
- Hazardous or illegal items such as explosives, chemicals, gas cylinders, or banned substances.[web:85]
5. Packing & handling
- We use reasonable care and suitable packing materials to safeguard your goods during loading, transit, and unloading.
- Specialized disassembly/assembly (for modular furniture, ACs, fixtures) may require third-party technicians at additional cost.[web:85]
- If you self-pack any items, our responsibility for damage resulting from inadequate packing may be limited.
6. Insurance & risk
- Transit insurance can usually be arranged on request via third-party insurers, subject to their terms and premiums.[web:85]
- If you choose not to insure your goods, they will be transported at your own risk, and any compensation will be subject to the limitations in these terms.
- Where insurance exists, claims are governed by the insurer’s policy and their decision will be binding.
7. Delays & force majeure
We aim to honour agreed timelines, but certain events may cause delays beyond our control:
- Natural calamities, accidents, roadblocks, or civil disturbances.
- Vehicle breakdowns, traffic restrictions, or regulatory checks.
- Access issues or restrictions at pickup/delivery points that were not communicated in advance.
8. Payments & additional charges
- Payment terms (advance, milestones, final payment) will be clearly mentioned in your quotation or confirmation.[web:85]
- Extra charges may apply for additional services such as floor differences, long-carry distances, waiting time, extra manpower, or last-minute changes.
- In case of non-payment, we may exercise a lien over goods as permitted under applicable law until dues are cleared.
9. Limitation of liability
- Our liability for loss or damage, where applicable, is limited to reasonable repair or replacement cost subject to proper documentation and inspection.[web:85]
- We are not liable for purely indirect or consequential losses such as loss of business, income, or opportunity.
- Any claim should be notified in writing within a reasonable time after delivery, along with supporting evidence.
10. Website use & content
- Content on this website (layout, branding, text, and graphics) is for informational use and may not be copied without permission.
