How much does furniture shifting cost in Shillong?

It depends on volume and, more than most people expect, on access — the floor, the lift and the lane width at both ends. For a move between Dehradun and Shillong (2,000 km), a small load starts around ₹35,000. We survey free of charge and give a fixed written figure that does not change afterwards.

Do you provide furniture shifting across all of Shillong?

Yes — including Police Bazar, Laitumkhrah, Nongthymmai, Mawlai, Shillong Cantt, Upper Shillong and the surrounding areas. Tell us the lane width and the floor when you book; those decide the vehicle and crew more than the volume does.

Can you move just one item, like a wardrobe or a fridge?

Yes. Single-item moves are priced separately from full house moves, and if we have a job in the same area on the same day the cost comes down further.

Will my modular wardrobe survive being dismantled?

Usually, yes — but not always. Particle-board modular units are built in place and the fixings do not always take a second assembly. We will tell you honestly at survey if a piece is likely to be weaker after the move, so you can decide whether it is worth taking.

Do you reassemble at the new house?

Yes, reassembly is included, not an extra. Fittings are bagged and labelled per item during dismantling precisely so this goes quickly at the other end.

Furniture Shifting & Assembly in Shillong

Single-item and part-house furniture moves in Shillong are priced on the item and the staircase rather than at a full-house rate. Dismantling and reassembly are included, and we say beforehand if a piece is unlikely to survive being taken apart twice.

Sometimes you are not moving house — you are moving a wardrobe to a new flat, a sofa to a relative, or a whole bedroom set into storage. Furniture on its own needs the same care as a full move and rather more skill: modular wardrobes and beds are built in place and often cannot leave a room intact. We dismantle with the fittings labelled and bagged, wrap every panel and edge, and rebuild at the other end. If a piece genuinely cannot come apart, we say so before the day rather than after it is stuck in the stairwell.

Shillong's hill lanes plus the wettest climate in the country make waterproofing non-negotiable here — everything is plastic-sealed before loading, not just covered on the truck.
